"Infantile" Air New Zealand

I guess if I had that much disposable income and mainly flew in NZ I'd probably have my own jet too... then again I do love the First lounge and my status, but I could leave that to international flying!

As for his outburst aboard ANZ, sounds like he was the idiot there.

More power to him but complaining about safety videos and industry standard safety checks sounds like grouchy old man with disposable income syndrome.

Many of us might well agree that some safety videos (necessary though they are) are infantile as are too frequent announcements over the PA.

Nanny state - yes!

Air New Zealand......DYKWIA, wanders off in a temper tantrum

I would 100% agree with the Virgin America safety video (cartoon) but NZ, come'on..... they often make headlines for their creativity. Although I do admit to seeing the Betty White video 4 times within 32hrs and that was a bit too much.

Thats him to a T. Bob Jones is an interesting man and good luck to him for having made a fair bit of money but I really dont understand why rich people think they are suddenly experts in areas where they demonstrate they clearly aren't! And yes, a couple of Australian examples of this spring readily to mind too!

An eccentric personality and successful property investor. I saw him just the once when he was manager of NZ boxer (of Samoan heritage) who was the Commonwealth middleweight boxing champion in the 70's - Monty Betham.

Not Bob Jones' first venture into private jet ownership.

This one used to be seen regularly over my back fence around 1987 when I lived in place which backed on to Queenstown Airport.

...and with limited air traffic control, spotting this blue jet when joining the circuit was a pain in the A.
