Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows the easiest way of booking a child as infant on a reward seat....I rang Qantas and got the overseas call centre who told me it's impossible to book someone under 2 their own seat on any ticket let alone a reward (know this info is untrue for paid tickets)

Anyone know if we can just make the birthdate a year older and if anyone would even notice/care or if it even makes a difference- will be 18 months at the time of travel anyway.....

Can't be stuffed waiting on hold again to get told the same thing and no doubt someone here has better information that the overseas call centre then arguing when they try and charge me. Could run the gauntlet and hope for a spare seat but rather burn some points and not have the risk.

Cheers

A pax under 2, wanting a seat, needs to be booked as an infant with seat. There is a specific passenger type code for it (INS) rather than lap infant which is INF.

Cheers, that answers my question. Will keep trying and hope for the Aussie Call centre.
