Incorrect Title on Flight Booking

Hi all,

Today I made a new Qantas flight booking through a third party website (fly365.com) for MEL LAX MEL. While being very careful inputting data, my ticketed name is MS instead of MR. I immediately made contact to rectify the error but they’re saying it doesn’t matter as Qantas only use first and last name for bookings.

Does anybody see a potential issue here?

Well that depends ...

Qantas policy is on their North American industry sales site at Name Correction

But doesn't mean the 3rd party agent will do it for free

i don’t believe there is any issue with:
1)airline honouring ticket.
2)TSA allowing ticket holder to pass through security with ticket matched to passport with otherwise incongruous title.
3)Crediting of Frequent flyer points and status credits

Third party website - once they got your money they don’t want to know you.
Likely will enter a frustrating merry go round with third party website and airline.

Thank you both for your input. I ended up calling Qantas, and they said there are no issues with an incorrect title in this instance. Phew.
