I flew PE return this year it is definitely a step above the economy seat and service.

The $999 Y SYD-LAX returns are only Feb-Mar that I can see. Didn't look at PE - interesting the bigger spread.

Managed to get $1100 SYD-LAX for June-July a while ago so have spent my dough now.

I'm just happy having no one in front of me, which isnt necessarily the case in PE (though of course I'd never say no to J).

Most domestic airfares look to be regular sales airfares late July 2015 - September 2015.

I wont do a US haul in Y anymore. PE at a bare minimum for me.

1. Anyone catch the fare class these book into? SCs apply ?

2. Recent flight on VA30 the whole PE section in the 777 (about 8 rows of 10 seats) had exactly 3 pax. No wonder VA are discounting PE.

This is the only decent offer in the entire sale.
It seems targeted very much at the once a year flyer as who really plans a domestic sector longer than 6 months in advance?

Well, I went for it! And I am nowhere near a one a year flyer! I'm just a good planner for international travel.

Not many.

And I am one of those in the minority. Flights booked through end of August 2015 last month from memory. But airfares need to be much cheaper than normal sale airfares. I believe I can get $89 flights SYD-BNE 1-2 months out from travel so wouldn't want to tie up my money for 6+ months.

And another factor to consider is fuel surcharges may drop.
