I've just arrived in ADL from MEL where I checked my bags through to CDG and have a luggage tag which says this. My flights are MEL-ADL-DOH (VA-QR) then linked ticket DOH-CDG (QR), however, Virgin just sent me an alert telling me that my bags are ready for collection from the carosel. Please tell me it's a standard message to all passengers and that I can ignore it? Because I'm not international side in ADL and will have to scamble to collect the bag and recheck it on my QR flight.

This is by no means my first rodeo but it's my first time transiting in ADL and first time redeeming Velocity points so I'm feeling very much like a fish out of water.

Even if you do need collect the bags

Getting through the international rigmarole ought be quite a short time period (got a good duty free price on Dior when I went out to Fiji in mid-September including a Mastercard cashback for $10)

All is well. I was just paged by the QR staff at the gate who were miraculously on top of the fact my luggage and bording pass situation was a complete balls up. 5 minutes later, all sorted. I'm SO impressed by their ground staff!
So did your luggage go all the way to CDG?
