I'm sticking with Virgin J (vs Qantas)

You were probably on the same flight as I on Friday, Flying in 1A on QF447 and QF481 (Loved the lie flat beds).

We were on QF401 then QF485 so two MEL-PER flights scored lie flat beds on Friday.

Looking at some of the 'Virgin Blue' that are still to be seen knocking around, I fear your views would be a little different if you were on those regularly.

The 'Virgin Blue' as you call them that have not been painted externally have been upgraded internally so that is not an issue.

If you are younger, hipper and ...whatever - you fly Virgin

...I'm none of those things, but I know whose hosties I'd prefer to stare at

I'm not sure how to take that. I'm Platinum with both and I'm certainly not younger and hipper :!:

This is true, to an extent. Unfortunately there are still a lot of bogans and noisy families who would have been flying from the Virgin Blue days. Hopefully the takeover of Tiger can fix this.

My take on this particular argument is simple - my flying patterns get me the top (earnable) tier on VA, where I'd merely get mid tier on QF. Additionally, for domestic I can afford to park my rear end in J almost all of the time on VA, whereas I'd almost never be able to on QF.

Good enough for me.
