Hi Everyone

I'm a bit late to the party of tracking tail numbers (I have solid data from 2017 to present, patchy before then), but I'm keen to track down which Qantas 747's I flew in from BNE to LAX and back on a couple of historical trips. I don't seem to be able to find any data online, so thought I would reach out in case someone knew where I could find this information?

The flights in question are:
QF175 BNE - LAX 27/12/2006
QF176 LAX - BNE 20/01/2007
QF175 BNE - LAX 7/6/2008 (Identified as VH-OJA from a photo)
QF176 LAX - BNE 15/6/2008

Also if there's any other Australian sites like 16Right ADSB but for Queensland I'd be keen to find out as I try and fill my backlog of data back to 2001 (big ask).

Thanks in advance

Brisbane Airport and Qantas would both have the records in their archives - whether they'd be willing to search for them for you is another question. You can only ask. I think it's probably just a bit too long ago unfortunately.

The other option would be Airservices Australia through the National Archives - request their flight plans which will have their registrations (just remember to request the flights via their ICAO callsigns - so QF becomes QFA - eg QFA175 and the dates must be UTC not local and the airports are YBBN and KLAX). You could email [email protected]. I'm not sure whether they would release flight plans to the general public, but again, you can only ask.

I had another idea - try contacting the owner of theqantassource.com. The website doesn't go back as far as your dates but perhaps he has offline archives. The email address is [email protected].
