I want to go to SIN in December. When should I book for the best fares?

Hi all

It seems like Scoot goes on sale randomly. Qantas seems consistently to be the highest priced option. Singapore Airlines does not seem to go on sale and seems to be priced in the middle.

Is there any good time to book seats to get a sale or is now a good a time as any?

Cheers!

Very much being not-an-expert myself, the ~$750 for Scoot, return from Sydney, looks like something that won't get appreciably cheaper even should a sale pop-up. If you saved a couple of hundred on that fare, do you care that much about a couple of hundred? (I mean yeah it's money that could be spent on something else, but it's also only a week's groceries these days)
I've always (again not being an expert) thought that about 6 months out was about when the sales tend to be the juiciest, and that's about now. <=== advice from clueless noobs, useful eh? :)

I have booked Scoot a number of times and I agree that sales seem to pop up at random. You can put a 'watch price' link into their system which e-mails you with price changes.

Tuesdays. Other than that December is only going to get more expensive outbound. Inbound shouldn’t be too bad mid month, only after Boxing Day it usually gets more expensive. If going from SYD also check Briitish Airways. If going from MEL , Jetstar and Turkish. if PER, also can check out Jetstar. At times on Jetstar and Scoot 2x 1 way fares maybe cheaper than a return.

Jan-March is the best time.

I was monitoring Thailand last Christmas from last January 2024 and airfares were going up. Booked wife/daughter in May and booked mine in July at which poibt airfares were ridiculous but I found a compromise and we travelled separate.

I've already locked in Thailand for April 2026 not long after they became available which was early May.

I know I'm referencing Thailand but it's the same for SIN.

P.S. These were SQ airfares for <$3000 for 3 of us which I'm really happy on getting.
