bit of a thread bump - has anyone checked out Andaz's new property in Maui, HI ? looking to book a week over Easter '14 and this place looks fantastic. Unfortunately i'm not a gold passport holder so unlikely to obtain any status or point upgrades etc

plenty of reviews saying its great but mostly US based and hoping an AFF may have experienced.

Yes. I posted an extensive review on FT https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/21502143-post162.html

great stuff, thanks for sharing - sounds like a great property. have to speak to the wife, but it seems this and fairmont are the two we've settled on, maybe a few days in either is in order :)

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Wailea is the upscale area of Maui.

We like luxury, and for us, Honolulu was like the Gold Coast - tacky, crowded and no good food.

I also recommend the St Regis Princeville.

yeah we are very fond of Wailea - we settled on 6 nights in an ocean front suite at Fairmont.
