So I saw the first image and thought ... no biggie .... then scrolled down.

Looking at the area around the landing gear , you can see how unstable the pavers were in the first place , should have been a clue not to test in that spot .

Ouch. I hope nobody was standing anywhere behind the aircraft.

ISTR the entire runway on Thevenard Island is brick-paved.
No jets though, AFAIK.
