Hi,

I am trying to price some flights for my mum but am running into difficulty.
The trip im looking at is
MEL - DEL - FRA (land based) LHR (or BRU) DUB - SIN - MEL

is there any web tool i can used to price airlines? I use skyscanner but it dosnt seem to have a multi city tool.
Also would it be more expensive to book one way flights rather then a multiy city one ticket.
Mum won't fly any unknown airlines so was thinking CX to India LH to FRA then Emirates via DUB and SIN.
Was thinking about booking most through Qantas for FF if possible.

Any help would be most appreciated.
:)

If you are booking through Qantas, just choose the multi-city option.

Are these cities ones you specifically want to travel to, or are they simply cities which have been chosen as a possible routing?

They are ones we need to travel to. The only one is the flight out of the uk, could change to Brussels or Paris if a cheaper option.

tried qantas site kept coming up with an error, called the call centre, was on the phone for an hour they couldn't even price it for me!!

Will try kayak but in the past have got some ridiculous numbers spat out (like over $5000 etc ) so I was unsure to use it.

thanks for your replies :)

I think you've got too many stopovers for your itinerary to price as one fare coupled with the fact you've got a surface sector at your point of turnaround (into FRA out of LON).

Whilst open jaw surface sectors are permitted in the same area of turnaround (Europe), some websites have issues with the point of turnaround being open jaw and may incorrectly price the trip as two one way fares which isn't correct.

Most European fares only permit one stopover in each direction in addition to your point of turnaround in Europe.

To combat this I'd try looking at two tickets - first one MEL/SIN/MEL or JQ or QF & the second one as follows:

SIN
DEL 9W stopover
FRA 9W turnaround point/destination
LHR YY sector fare
DXB QF stopover
SIN QF (EK metal)

The second ticket would basically be a return fare ex SIN to Europe SIN/DEL/FRA - LHR/DXB/SIN with a sector fare to get you FRA/LHR to avoid the stopover dilemma.

The 3 letter city code DUB is Dublin so if you mean Dubai you'll need to enter the correct code of DXB.

Jet Airways (9W) are in the One World Alliance but check what the economy booking code would be (fare bucket) and ensure that will earn points on the QF freq flyer program before you book the ticket.
