Dear Experts,

my name is Sol and I'm new to this forum and the frequent flyer world and therefore seeking some advise. I'm planning a trip to Japan (MEL-TYO and back) at the end of the year and am trying to find the best (most economic) deal that gives me the most amount of frequent flyer miles/points. How do you go about when you are planning a trip, which websites do you use to compare flights etc?
I would really appreciate some helpful tips.
Thanks in advance.
Sol

(just noticed typo in the header - even though English is not my first language I do know how to spell flight correctly :) )

Hi Sol,
Welcome to the site. There is a lot of useful information here.
Plenty of websites out there, sky scanner is quite a popular one.

'cheapest' will always mean 'least amount of points earned'

check bestflights.com.au for prices, then check those flights on the airline's website and see what points you receive for that price
