Title says it all really....do Qantas have regular sales for Syd or Mel to LAX? Current sale finishing tomorrow has flights for $1149 for November. Now, this is when I want to travel but I'm not quite ready to book (friend not ready actually). Do they have regular sales for this route? Also, is the $1149 a good price? Have never been before so I have no idea if this current sale is a decent price or not.

Thanks in advance

Yes it's a good price.
November is a long way away though and unless the Aussie dollar stages a dramatic recovery and/or AA/VA/NZ/UA/DL stop competing on the transpac routes then I think I'd assume the sale fares will return at some point.

Tell your friend to hurry up for the next sale or else book yourself and when the friend books you could ask QF to put notes in the booking that you are together.

Looks like they've got another one running:

$956 ex MEL
$969 ex Sydney

Good stuff. Thank you for the heads up. Had a look on Qantas sale page and it's called "USA deal"...no mention of when sale ends though which is kinda annoying.

Does anyone know what kind of sale prices QF have for F/J return fares?
Currently F is just under $16k and J from $5199.

Interestingly to LHR, F is just over 13k and J just over 8k.

J is the Sale fare. It is because of the AA flight I think. Normally $6k is a bargain.
