How much is Accor status worth?

Pity you cannot use SNU for the crest suites which in reality are the suites!
Since when? Stayed in a Crest suite for 3 nights on SNUs in Oct/Nov last year.
I haven't seen a Crest Suite on SNU for this year on a few of the date ranges I've looked. But definitely available when I looked for last year. Not sure if its an enhancement on the part of Swissotel - it now just often shows signature suite.

I was told they had been pulled by management but I just found some bookable in October, so maybe not.

I thought that I'd provide an update on what triggered my original post.
I've returned from my holiday and can confirm that the convenience of staying walking distance to everywhere definitely made things so much easier.
It was nice knowing that all the little things (such as fresh towels, empty bins, made bed, clean cutlery) were happening. I also got to cross paths with some others who were travelling for the same reason who were also staying there. On top of that, a clean toilet that I don't need to wait for, breakfast everyday (with one dish that changed everyday), not to mention facilities that the accommodation offers (such as gym, pool, and mini-golf (I only partook in the last one)).
The only thing that was not quite right was that the wi-fi kept dropping out and should've been a lot better (a first-world problem, I know, but is frustrating in the 2020s). The workers of the hotel told me is was due to them being full and everyone using it but I still think that more could be done about this.

All in all, I would definitely book there again - the convenience outweighs so much.

The suite was so spacious (but then I was the only one in there). It'd be interesting to compare to the studio rooms on a subsequent stay (there's only so much that you can tell from the photos).

It was a great trip both in terms of the accommodation and the people who I met along the way.

I've got some SNUs that I would like to use up prior them expiring at year's end; I've noticed that all the cities that I've tried using them in (Berlin and London to name two), the price per night (after using them) is quite high - maybe I'm just looking in the wrong cities. Where have others found the best value to use them?

Depends on what you define as good value.. Some might want the best upgrade for the lowest price whilst others might be happy to pay good money to get a upgrade worth many times more In the past I’ve seen properties that have SNU’s that although will cost $800 plus per night will get an upgrade worth $1800+ per night.
The UK falls into the later category IMO
Personally we hardly ever use our SNU’s and I find them a bit of a waste these days but there can be good value in Asia and NZ. The last ones we used were Sofitel Queenstown and Sofitel Legend Metropole and they were both pretty decent upgrades

Not yet a Plat or a Diamond, but if I ever reach the status with SNU, I'm aiming for Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Turkey, the Caucasus for them. The rooms and suites are usually larger too. I have my eyes at the Fairmont in Baku.

The trouble we find with many hotels is they either have limited to no SNU availability and if they do it’s usually only to the lowest suite category which you often get complimentary as a Plat or Diamond.

This is exactly my situation. After almost 3 years as a Platinum I am yet to use an SNU.

Makes sense. Although, personally, I can't justify paying $800/night for accommodation (even if the $800 is worth $1,800). I'll overpay if I know that I'm getting could value or convenience but that is above my limit (which probably explains why I haven't used them up yet).

Sounds great.

I have found that too.

That's unfortunate.
