Those are some very serious numbers!! Well done, I hope you still like flying ;)

The novelty stopped about 20yrs ago.... Travelling this much over a sustained period of time you miss way too many anniversary's, birthdays and significant events. However on the upside you do get the opportunity to take the family on some very special holidays every few years.

Been my second biggest year, and in this year I hit LTG, and for SPG Plat 75 (just short of Plat 100). Finished the year by resigning my position at work (nothing to do with the travel), so hoping 2015 can still be a big travel year, but for the first time in over 5 years (at this time of year), I don't have a single booking scheduled yet for next year. Luckily I'm already on 950 SC's with QF, with a renewal in late October....

Here are my stats:

Best thing about this thread is that it reminds Mrs Reload that I could be away a lot more! :) thanks to those who practically live on planes!

Average year for me:
73 segments
155425 miles
14 days 11:27 in the sky.

The highlight of the year was definitely flying EY in F!

VA (7), SQ (5), MI (3) and rather sadly QF (1).
Airports Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Mackay, Hamilton Island, Singapore, Koh Samui, Siem Reap, Da Nang and Copenhagen.
Barely a blip on the radar though all were for leisure.

Not sure on flights not sure i want to total it to be honest!
This year was a record year, in terms of status i earned platinum on virgin twice over and almost hit platinum on qantas. Hotels were 106 days with IC, around another 30 with various other hotel chains. This year hoping to half that!
Highlights were my first trips in F both QF and EK a380's and my first time in the flounge in Sydney.

This looks like fun, I will join in. :)

Had a bit of an unusual year, living outside of Australia for the majority of it. Unusually I began, and will also end the year in Europe. All flights were self-funded.

Flights: 55
Carriers: QF x11 (unusually low due to my not being in Australia), AA x6, 4U x6, LA x4, TK x4, A3 x4, U2 x4, AB x3, BA x2, MH x2, LH x2, JL x2, DY x2, JJ x1, AS x1, WN x1... I think that's all.
QF SC's: 640 (should be more but quite a few flights were awards)

BIS Miles: 62,849
Hours in the air: 160

Airports Visited:
KRK, ARN, AMS, CDG, LHR, ORD, EWR, DCA, RDU, MIA, CNF, GRU, LIM, CUZ, JUL, SEA, PDX, LAX, SFO, MEL, CBR, BNE, AKL, SYD, ADL, KUL, PEK, NRT, STR, TXL, CGN, VIE, HAM, MUC, VCE, ATH, IST, ESB, SXF, RAK
New Airports: All except LHR, MEL, CBR, BNE, AKL, SYD, TXL, CGN, MUC.

Most popular Airframe: Boeing 737 x 14
Post popular Aircraft: SX-DGJ x2 & G-EZTX x2 (both A320s)
Airbus: 27
Boeing: 26
Embraer: 2
Bombardier: 1

Best Airline Meal: MH ADL-KUL, with a special mention to TK on TXL-IST.
Worst Airline Meal: AA MIA-CNF.

Luggage lost: Didn't lose any luggage, but my suitcase was damaged by JL.

Best Flight: Out of my (only) 4 J/F flights, easily MH ADL-KUL in J; but in Y definitely QF LAX-MEL.
Worst Flight: I've had a few shockers... RAK-SXF on easyJet, PEK-NRT on JL (only because I was really sick) & most of my flights on AA come to mind.

Longest Flight: QF94 LAX-MEL 15:50; 12,757km
Shortest flight: QF1512 CBR-SYD 0:55; 255km

Celebrities spotted? I'd have to think for a minute whether I have actually seen any this year...

My Airline of the Year: Qantas, closely followed by Turkish Airlines and Malaysia Airlines
My dud airline of the year: American Airlines

AFF'ers met on my travels: A fair few.

Basics:

Flights: 48
Carriers: QF, LAN, Avianca, Ada, Copa

Airports Visited: mostly small obscure ones

New Airports: Tegucicalpa, Honduras, and Cancun, Mexico. (where I am right now :) )

Best Airline Meal: LAN, flying BOG to SCL (mainly memorable due to ever excelent LAN red wine selection)
Worst Airline Meal: Copa

Luggage lost: Nil

Best Flight: QF SCL-SYD - being based overseas, the flight going home is always the best!!!!!
Worst Flight: QF BNE- AKL - opposite of last comment
Longest Flight: QF28(?) SCL-SYD 14:35hrs, 7042 miles
Shortest flight: Ada Medellín - El Bagre 109 miles but in a SLOW Twin Otter

Celebrities spotted? A guy called Reykon who is a Reggaetón Singer - meaningless if you are outside Central america :)

My Airline of the Year: Qantas, always will be
My dud airline of the year: LAN, only because they don´t offer business or PE on internal Colombian flights.

AFF'ers met on my travels: None :(

Main gripe for the year is this absolute calamity: Due to work I only managed to get back to Australia once in the year, and hardly flew any QF/ one world (maybe 800SC?) so I am about to lose my WP status!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My stats for 2014 (might be a few more before the year is out)

118 sectors (QF 53, VA 62, EY 3 - but I can't find my Aeropelican and Brindabella details)
13 ports (in order of frequency CBR, MEL, SYD, BNE, ADL, AUH, PER, AKL, HBA, MCY, DPS, DUB, NTL)
New port this year = DPS
Miles 72,156
Longest AHU-SYD, Shortest NTL-SYD
Points earned flying 208,228 and Status Credits 3,545 (pts and SCs are split about evenly between QF and VA)
Best airline = QF (only OpUp for the year)
Worst = EY
Favourite flight = Aeropelican NTL-SYD in a 12 seater metro, landing in a decent crosswind on SYD 34L - I could see out the pilot's window and it was quite a crab on final !

RMKS: Only 3 carriers and only one new airport = not a great FF year.

I will also play - I only started flying regularly for work in July so I am a bit light on most people here!

Flights: 22 (up from 11 in 12&13 combined)
Carriers: VA 18, QF 1, NZ 3
VA SC's: 510
Notes: Zero to VAGold in just this half of the year - next stop WP!

BIS Miles: 40530 km (1.01 world laps)
Hours in the air: 2 days 13h (that is not actual, AFF tracker, delays make it longer!)

Airports Visited: 7
New Airport: DRW, AKL, RAR
Most visited: MEL (home is BNE)

Most popular Aircraft: 737-800
Airbus: 0
Boeing: 21
Embraer: 1

Best Airline Meal: NZ
Worst Airline Meal: Flexi fare VA pretzels if that even counts

Luggage lost: None yet - touch wood - fly carry on mostly

Best Flight: BNE-MEL
Worst Flight: DRW-BNE

Longest Flight: SYD-RAR
Shortest flight: BNE-SYD

Hottest celebrity spotted: None
Worst celebrity spotted: None

My Airline of the Year: Tie VA/NZ
My dud airline of the year: VA

AFF'ers met on my travels: None yet :(

Summary:
Found myself in a new job requiring a stack of domestic travel. Went from VA Red to VA gold in no time at all. Got a free trip to RAR for 'serious work business' and generally had a lot of fun. Don't get much intl travel for work but next year there are already scheduled 'serious work business' trips to Melbourne, the hunter valley and Las Vegas on top of my normal work travel. Got to fly on the 767 again and generally did a lot of fun/stupid stuff :D

My stats are low, but the enjoyment in 2014 has been high, helped in greatly by being a part of AFF.
