Hello everyone

Can anyone tell us how many points and more importantly how many SC we would earn flying J MEL-KUL-DXB-LHR return?

Flying EK on QF codeshare flights

Many thanks in advance

320 SC and its 10798 miles flown each way, so just add cabin and status bonuses.

Thanks for that quick response Markis

Not a bad earn and timing isnt bad either arriving the same day as departure :D

IIRC, the MEL-KUL-DXB legs have the same EK flight number and I suspect the same QF codeshare too. You will need to check how the flight has been ticketed. If its ticketed as you've posted, then you earn points for those segments and I suggest using the oneworld explorer validator function on mileage monkey. If its been ticketed as MEL-DXB, as I suspect it might, then you earn the same points as if it were the QF direct flight, and you can work this out online with the points calculator. The same applies to the DXB-LHR leg.

But to answer your question, If it is via KUL, as a WP in J, you will earn (approx) 9820 points and 120SC to KUL and 8627 points and 100SC to DXB. If its not, then you earn 18098 points and 180SC. You will earn 8530 points and 100SC on the flight to LHR.

I don't actually think the flight number (QF8409) is the issue, it's more the ticketed route. If its ticketed as MEL-KUL-DXB, with 2 sectors, then you'll earn points based on 2 sectors. If its just a single MEL-DXB sector, then that's what you'll earn.
