How long for Citipoints to transfer to Velocity?

Well checked my citibank points -they landed in velocity today so good turn around (20 days LOL - but 24hrs from second transfer)

Zainman - I asked for notes to be added to my file when I spoke to Tony (about 4th call) - explained I would be seeking it if the points did not transfer over to velocity and that I would be disadvantaged by missing 10% bonus and 10% reduction in reward booking (the booking was gone by 17th so I missed it anyway). I raised it again at each of the complaint points of contact but did not have to raise it on the last phone call - after transferring the points she said she had escalated my request for compensation and made an offer - I was happy with it so took it - I know it could have been more if I pushed back but all I wanted was the points to velocity and they are now there. As a guide I would be looking at min 15% of the points you are transferring to be deposited into your citibank rewards balance.

Thanks deejo77.

The customer service officer is manually putting through the points.

Points finally showed up yesterday - took two weeks, but they ended up there in the end.

Perhaps CB have ironed out whatever glitches in their system existed. I have just sent across another lot of points, and we shall see if they land in the account before the 31 May cutoff.

Still no points, so called up citi again, complained they said there's an issue they're having with transfers to velocity. Apologised profusely ( I swear that's on their script ) I told them if it hadn't happened yet then i don't want it anymore, so they apologised again and put a refund of the points through. Apparently it'll show up in 3-5 days.

so has anyone had a solution for this problem,

i've tried like 4 times now, and the citibank person did it for me once, all rejected, getting really tired of this

has putting the SURNAME FIRSTNAME MR worked?

hey nerdag

Did you get them to do this over the phone, or did you do it on the internet banking

Cheers!

Can confirm, that after using Nerdag's method, worked straight away

Much appreciated

Was this over the phone or online? I just got my transfer rejected. The strange thing is that I transferred before with same details a few months ago.and it went through in 24hrs!

Rather than start a new thread,
how long to transfer to SQ KF ?
Officially it's an absurd 6-8 weeks according to KF, and Citibank says it's 28 days.
I'm thinking the info from cove and Cruiser would be more accurate :)
TIA.

Your name registration at velocity might not match citi's which will hold it up. I had tried to transfer earlier this year and it didn't go through. Citi had my first and last names reversed for some reason which didn't match velocity's records so it got rejected. Probably a good idea to call citi to check if transfer is time critical.

Still not there and Citi is not very helpful, must wait at least 28 days. Really !?!
The names definitely are correct but yes the order of the names may be different.
Anyway, couldn't wait for Citi on the never never and transferred from Altitude.
Get this, it took 5 hours.
I am very impressed.

So latest doozy (Citibank never fails to be a clusterf@#k):

Initiated my inaugural transfer to Velocity on Saturday and used FIRSTNAME SURNAME because that is what it says on my Velocity account. Checked on Tuesday and the status of the transfer was "Rejected".

Called to enquire, they said nothing about the name not matching, apparently there was a "system changeover" on the weekend which caused transfers to be rejected. Citipoints have been recredited and I'm summoning up the courage to have another go at transferring them and seeing what other random error Citi manage to spit out.
