How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

Hotel: Pullman Tokyo Tamachi
Status: Accor+ Explorer Platinum
Room booked: Superior room with a king sized bed
Room upgrade: Not as far as I could tell
Rate: $1020 for three nights, including a Stay Plus voucher
Early Check-in : Not required
Late Check-out: Not required
Free Breakfast: Yes. Decent spread with cooked-to-order eggs, waffles and pancakes, and barista coffee.
Free wifi: Yes
Welcome drink: Yes. Had a beer at the lounge bar. Photo of the options below.
Welcome amenity: A bottle of green tea, ginger crisp thingies, canales (I'd left two to consume on the second night with my coffee but they were whisked away, so the pro-tip is to eat them all on the first day).
Recommend: Yes, definitely. I had a comfortable stay here, and it was one train from NRT. The only quibble I had was the quality of the food in the lounge during canape hour.

Stayed here for three nights after the end of my cruise and it was very comfortable. It was close to Mita station, so was one train from Narita airport, while Tamachi got you to Haneda easily. Add to this close proximity to many sights and it was well located.

The room was substantial and had a walk-in show (a distinct improvement over the Swissotel in Osaka which was shower-over-bath.

The executive lounge was a mixed bag, with pluses being beer on tap, decent afternoon tea and no crowding, but the downside was the mediocre food spread.

Breakfast offered a fairly decent spead, including cooked-to-order eggs and rotating hot and cold items (including excellent tempura shrimp).

They also gifted me a bottle of sake for my 50th birthday.

All up then, for the price I paid, this was a great way to spend a few nights in Tokyo.

Just left the same hotel yesterday, similar room but the bathroom was over bath shower. The ginger yuzu snaps were great.
I thought the breakfast on offer was pretty comprehensive (including the tempura), and the coffee was good.
Executive lounge is pleasant, but the food was not overly substantial, and service finishes way too early!
Very convenient for Haneda from Tamachi station.

Keen to hear how the subsequent stay turned out.
If you ever find yourself in Jakarta @goldenhorn Raffles Jakarta should tick all your boxes!
That hotel is on my list! Will stay when I eventually buy a repositioning flight from Jakarta one day.
This gives you the lay of the land of the signature suite. Don't expect a room upgrade.

Thank you!
I'm surprised SKAI was available for welcome drinks. It wasn't to us last year (the staff recommended going to Fairmont's ANTI-DOTE instead).

The hotel is perpetually busy as many airlines use it as well for their crew.
Yes SKAI restaurant was listed as permitted on the welcome note but not SKAI bar. I didn’t understand the difference. We sat at the bar in the restaurant,🤷‍♂️

Thanks for confirming I did get an upgrade!
On further reflection, the Exec Lounge is average in terms of food, good for drinks, but the best feature is it is pretty quiet and a good place to get computer work done. The rooms are not great for working on a computer.

That's a shame to hear. When I stayed in 2022 they had a decent 'tapas set' (covid alternative to a buffet pictured here), when I next stayed in 2024 it'd changed to a buffet, but still had decent options like yakitori.

Would anyone have pics of the current EL selection?

At least the Life supermarket downstairs has some very affordable freshly made takeaway food.

Agreed, Life has good food. Also there is the 7-11 egg roll for about $1.25!

Been a bit slack and some plenty of reviews of this property but stayed last weekend for Mrs Jase’s birthday just to get out of the house.
Received email a few days out and in the reply I mentioned to staff it was wife’s birthday and booked dinner at Garçon Bleu for the evening of her birthday.
At check in notified of upgrade to Prestige suite and offered late checkout which are both pretty standard when we book there. Received welcome gifts as mentioned above but no mention of birthday even the card from management. Normally for special events they are pretty good at recognising this but wasn’t too upset.
Afternoon tea and evening drinks in Club Millesime seemed to be much smoother than normal so regular refills proactively offered and afternoon tea especially had some delicious food both days.
Breakfast in the lounge was a bit slow but we checked out the restaurant on the first morning and it was chaotic so happy to sacrifice a few things to eat in the lounge.
Had our welcome drinks at the GB bar and although they do have a small menu of what is available for the free welcome drinks we are very frequent guests there so some flexibility shown and as usual one of the staff we know tends to recognise us and offer us “the usual”🤣
Dinner for the wife’s birthday was excellent and we had a bottle of Maison Trimbach Pinot Blanc to accompany the meal. We polished that off and too our surprise another one appeared and we were told compliments from the GM and Happy Birthday Mrs Jase.
Definitely redeemed themselves 🤣
At this stage probably another 10-12 nights there this year just dependant on work and any events in town

We arrived at 11:30pm after a long day travelling (and drinking) from Singapore. I was not in the right mind of me checking in and across the usual assessment of the room given at check in.

On a previous stay here as a Gold member 2 years ago, I asked at check-in about paying for lounge access and was simply upgraded to an executive room for free, so I assumed a similar upgrade as Platinum. Big mistake. We were given a tiny room on the 15th floor of a 36-floor hotel, with a queen bed pushed against the wall and a car park view. I know that Platinum only guarantees a one-category upgrade, but this was apparently our upgrade from Advantage to Select, and it was woeful. I can't imagine what the room below it would have been like.

After a lot of back and forth with the front desk, we were told no executive rooms were available, even though they were showing in the app. They moved us to a king room on the same floor. Bigger bed and not wedged into a corner, but still a low floor. Since becoming Platinum I've never been put on a low floor; it's always been one of the highest. We couldn't be bothered moving again the next day.

On the positive side, service was efficient as you'd expect in Japan. Breakfast on level 36 is very impressive with fantastic views of Osaka, but go early as it gets very crowded. 7:30am was fine. Don't bother with the executive lounge for breakfast - it was a tiny selection.

The lounge in the evening was quite nice. It's very small so get there early, but it never got completely crowded. Staff were efficient and kept food topped up. Self-serve Roku gin, beer, wine and French sparkling, plus a tasty spread of appetisers. Not a meal, but well presented.

We're back for one night next week. I've booked the base room again but requested a high floor and king bed before leaving. We'll see what they come up with, but overall very disappointed with how we were treated as Platinum members.
