How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

was a sofitel when i stayed there just a few weeks ago
It hasn’t been a Sofitel for awhile

‘The renovation project follows the Reef Hotel Casino’s rebranding from a Sofitel to a Pullman hotel in December 2008, providing the 13-year old property with a fresh new identity to kick start 2009.

The internal upgrade at the Reef Hotel Casino Complex – which houses the 128-room five star Pullman hotel, conference rooms, bars and restaurants – has been two years in the making.”

Has anyone stayed at either Fairmont Hanoi or Sofitel Legend Metropole?

Keen to hear experiences with both, noting they’re quite different hotels.

I’m Accor Platinum & interested in how Platinums are treated at Fairmont, particularly upgrades/benefits and whether anyone has received Fairmont Gold lounge access, as I understand it’s not included for Platinum members.
The Sofitel Legend Metropole is our go to in Hanoi and we absolutely love it. Haven’t tried the Fairmont yet.
The Sofitel has always treated us amazingly and have scored some excellent upgrades plus service is exemplary.
Fairmont properties are generally sticklers for lounge rules and you would need to be Diamond or pay for Fairmont Gold rooms. I’ve even heard of people being upgraded to Fairmont Gold rooms but still being denied privileges such as lounge access.
