How Can We Get Bonus Qff Points So We Can Go On A Honeymoon

Hi

I have about 200,000 frequent flyer points, but need 248,000 points so my fiance and me and go on our honeymoon

it looks like i just missed out on the amex card offer of 17,500 points for signing up. missed by one day.

does anyone know of any other offers out there where i can score some points to boost me up to what i need.

any help greatly appreciated as weddings are expensive enough

Keep an eye on ANZ, Citibank and AMEX's offers.

Just recently, ANZ and AMEX were running concurrent promotions:
- AMEX (QF card) with 15,000 signup bonus (the 2,500 comes with your first Qantas spend) - $0 annual fee for the first year; and
- ANZ with 10,000 signup points and a ~$99 fee.

If these offers were running now, you could get 50,000pts between yourself and your fiance for under $200 (assuming you're both approved).

How long until you need to book the flights? These offers pop up fairly often (some links may still indicate the offers are valid now), so if you can wait, that might be an option.

Don't forget that if you were really in need, you could always purchase an additional 20 000 points/person.

Another option would be to go to Travelex and change some foreign currency now if you were going o/seas for your honeymoon.

Don't know where you're going for your honeymoon, but given it's in October, I wouldn't be waiting all that much longer to book your awards. On some popular routes, particularly if you want to book a premium cabin, they can prove a little elusive to snare. But on others they can be reasonably easy to snare at relatively short notice.

• The availability of premium cabin FF awards. Finding FF award seat availability for the dates you want and for the destination you want, especially for business or first class can be very difficult. Unfortunately its difficult to be flexible with dates and destinations when planning a honeymoon.

Indeed I would check out award flights now using QFF online award booking (you don't need all the points to do a search). I realise a honeymoon doesnt provide a lot of flexibility around flights, but don't give up on first choice of flights/routings etc. There may be availability if you tweak a little. Conversely, if there is no availability now on anything remotely suitable, and you are after awards to popular destination/busy travel time, then may be time to rethink the honeymoon options as unlikely to have better availability later than currently.
