If you have observed or even better, voted at, an Australian Electoral Commission airport early voting centre in advance of Saturday 7 September's Federal election, how busy has it been? Did you have to queue?

While Sydney has three such early voting centres (two in each of the domestic terminals and one at international), Adelaide and Melbourne have a measly one each because of their more efficient, joined terminals and Brisbane two, Perth takes the record if my counting is correct with seven (some of the latter are at 'Skippers Aviation' and similar - I assume that this is to cater for the extremely large fly in, fly out workforce that features more at PER than anywhere else in Oz).

Did you find the 'EVC" easy to locate?

They are great and I've used them for the last 7 years. The one at BNE's international terminal has been small in previous years, this year I did it at OOL, great setup.

Stand alone queues for two of the local electorates and at least two people working the other electorates line. About 8 booths to use.

AAAA++++ will vote this this electoral commission branch again

I walked past the one in T3 Sydney yesterday morning and there might have been one person there.

I thought I would use it on the way out but I ended up having to rush through due to a l.ate meeting finish.

Off to the school for a sausage sandwich in the morning instead.

i walked pass the voting centre at SYD T2 a few days ago and there was absolutely no queue whatsoever. Its located near the set of automatic doors towards the baggage claim, in the airside area.

Last Sunday afternoon, at Perth QF domestic, the voting centre was located near security - well staffed, no queue and several booths

Landed in MEL at 7pm on Wednesday and the queue in the QF dom terminal was 7-10 deep.... But I'm maybe one of the strange ones who still enjoys heading out to the local school, so I resisted the urge!

I voted at Perth T2 about a week and a half ago. There was no line and a few people working there, I was at the airport before 5am though.
