Just got this response from Velocity's social media team:



I don't remember seeing the email (and my contact details are all good). Does anyone else remember seeing it?

I didn't see it. Twitter? We can all reply..

Check your emails around the date and time of post 1, because it was an email that prompted me to post!

I received it in an email on 29 May, with the subject "Velocity News program updates plus new benefits and partners"

OnTopic: I didn't see another email that seemed to suggest that.. only the one that suggested that it was for bookings up to 27 June
 
The last "Velocity News program updates plus new benefits and partners"-ish email I got was back in Feb. Appears that email was sent out on the "Velocity Exclusives" list which I don't subscribe to (I would have thought this kind of news would have been "Member Updates" which I do subscribe too!). May have to change preferences.

You might want to add [email protected] to your contacts or address book list. It was in the Velocity News email late May.

I'm inclined to think they have identified it correctly as being sent to the 'Velocity Exclusives' list.

Looking at the 'Member Updates' description, that seems to be usable to - maybe they changed the group they used.

Has anybody completed a stay booked through Agoda yet and did points turn up promptly?

I'm about to make some bookings, can one add their VFF number through the iPad app or does it all have to go through the website?

I have booked a stay with Agoda, however it's not for a week or two. Even better: I booked it (3 nights/4 days with clients) and then subbed out the final two nights to a colleague. So I will arrive, do a day's work and stay one night, and then do a switcheroo with my colleague taking it from there all the while earning points for me. Sweet! :)

Sad to say though I've had no luck in getting my final Hotelclub claim to go through. I retro-claimed it 10 times and screen-shotted all of those claims to the platinum enquiry line. They are not taking much interest, so swings and roundabouts :-|
 
I've booked a couple of times but for stays that haven't happened yet.

Looks to me like you have to click through the link on the Velocity website ( Virgin Australia ) if the cid= part is missing - then the dialogue for entering your Velocity number doesn't come up. So I doubt you'll be able to use the iPad app.

I had a stay on Saturday night (booked Friday) and the points (base and bonus) posted yesterday - faster than the VA points and SC for the same day, which are yet to post.
 
I have a stay tomorrow night at CGK booked through the new Agoda portal, I'll let you know how long it takes to post!
 
It looks like Velocity are not going to acknowledge my Hotel Club points claims.I have submitted numerous retrospective claims for my stay well before the expiry date and as well as after and they haven't even been acklowledged!So much for trying to support the underdog,i will going back to supporting the opposition,at least they deal ethicly.I will be informing everyone I know to keep clear of them as they are useless! Very disappointed.:evil:

Terry, what status with Velocity are you? (WP, SG, PS or Red) I got my points credited by emailing the WP address and harassing them (firmly but fairly of course). I think you are going to need to email them
 
I too am waiting for Hotelclub to post. I lodged a retro-claim over six weeks ago, which is how long they say it takes. I've escalated it to the call centre, who tell me it's going to be another 14 days. It really is a joke.
