Greeting AFF-ers

Anyone else getting sick of the constant bombardment of feedback forms and surveys requested by hotels? Have just returned from a 2-week, 4 country, 7 city (7 hotel) trip, and by the end of the journey was thoroughly sick of this. During the trip I had various surveys waiting for me in my room asking about the check-in experience, had surveys thrust at me with delivery of each room-service meal, was asked to do surveys while waiting for my checkout to be completed, and surprise surprise, arrived home to find another two survey in my email inbox. Stayed at Crowne Plazas, Intercontinentals, Marriotts and Hiltons.

I realise this comes from a good place, wanting to improve the customer experience, but frequency and insistence from the staff is starting to wear me down. Common gripe, or am I being picked out for special (?) attention?

Cheers, John

I don't think you are being singled out. Happens to me too.

I wonder if they do take notice of returned forms?

Fortunately I don't pay for accomodation 99% of the time but on my last trip over to the US I did actually leave an email address when I checked in (hadn't done it for years, not sure why I did this trip) at a couple of the hotels and did recieve the usual satisfaction surveys.

What would I do without that little red X at the top of my email inbox... ;)

It wouldn't be so bad if the survey responses had some effect.
