Hotel near Bne airport

On Mon fortnight, I'll be returning from NAN via the infamous run. I'm booked on QF to return to Syd on the last flight from Bne at 1915. This is only an hour after my flight from Mel arrives (only have carry on). I have linked the (separate) tickets although this is not going to help me if my inbound is significantly delayed.

What are my (cheap) hotel options near Bne airport on a Mon nite if I miss the last flight to Syd? I found this list on Wotif:

All I need is a cheap, clean and comfortable bed as I'll be gone first thing the next am; also preferably, somewhere they have an airport pickup or it is not too expensive to grab a cab.

The Novotel would be the obvious choice for proximity to Brisbane airport but it is not cheap so any of the motels in Hamilton or Ascot should be OK and they are reasonably close to the airport.

The 2 Best Westerns and the Quest are probably the pick of the bunch but something like the Formule1 would also be OK as well.

And note that Coachtrans drops off and picks up at all of these hotels/motels. Services are every 40 minutes and Hamilton is ~10 minutes fro the airport. Cost is $28 if return is booked otherwise $15 for one way.

I assume you were called and told you needed to change flights too? Can’t work out why the same plane on Monday will take an extra hour to get to Sydney, but was happy they called to change it all for me.

Well if cheap is your primary consideration Formule 1s are usually cheap, clean and should have a comfortable and very cosy bed. If you are looking for a comfortable room, with cat swinging space, I would probably look elsewhere though!

You're welcome to our lounge but I don't start work near the airport till 830 so you'd miss the early flights.
