Any suggestions or recommendations for a hotel for an overnight stop-over at DFW, please? No chain preference, just a simple overnight stay between flights.

Will be flying AA/US, but not sure which terminals yet.

I see 2 Hyatts right at the airport; no doubt will be pricy.

Always stay at the Grand Hyatt DFW and have never been disappointed...great rooms and fabulous shower....also if shopping is your go then the trolley shuttle to the outlet at Grapevine stops right outside the hotel entrance...finally checkin for your next flight on AA is just at the bottom of the hotel escalator...all in all this is the only hotel to stay at in my humble opinion...cheers

Thanks pyffii - at US$169/night on the night I want, its cheaper than I expected.

ps is the AA check in you mentioned a separate check-in at the hotel.. or are you referring to the regular AA check-ins at that terminal?

I think you can auto checkin at the hotel but the AA checkin counters are no more than 100 metres from the bottom of the hotel escalator...you will be in Terminal D so if your departing flight is from a different terminal then jump on the air train and in a few minutes you will be in your departing terminal...glad you got a good rate

I'm soon doing a 1-night stop at DFW, and considering staying at the DFW Marriot Airport South, primarily because it has a heated indoor pool as required by my wife. Feedback welcome.

The other Hyatt at DFW is not inside the terminal and you need to catch the shuttle....much better to stay at the Grand Hyatt

We also did the Hyatt at DFW, nice room, quiet, excellent food and nice bar for a few.

If you have any day time check out the massive Grapevine mall 10mins away by shuttle. Mrs lime bought a fabulous lined kid leather jacket, very well made for $49.

Thanks Limewood .. did Grapevine Mills last trip :) ; bought some Bose NC ear plug type headphones. Grand Hyatt is firming up as favourite.
