In November I received an offer - stay twice by 15th January and get Gold status.
I was Silver from my 2016 stays but in April had dropped from Diamond after about 7 years. Most of my stays had been switched to Hyatt.
Anyway I had a need to stay in Melbourne CBD and was going to requalify with Hyatt so I put a night to the DT with the Summer sale. (Turns out it was my 10th stay there - I had not been there since 2015.) They gave me two drink vouchers and an upgrade to a room with a window for that, but no breakfast.
Next was a stay in early January, again at the DT. No drink voucher but again a room with a window.
After that, it took a few days, but the promo registered an I am now Gold for another 26 months. (Free "Continental" breakfast.)
