After a weekend spent watching the Dubai Rugby Sevens (despite the poor quality Foxtel Go feed while travelling) I've gotten excited about the 2017 series and am thinking about tickets to the Hong Kong Sevens in 2017.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to get tickets?
I'm not a fan of ticket packages as (like the rest of us) I like to choose airline/hotel options myself, but could always make an exception.
I also see that Viagogo is an official reseller of tickets only and priced at around $700 for 3 days.
Any input on alternate ticket options would be great. And any input on whether current prices are high/low/in-line with prior years would also be useful.

Secondly, for anyone who has previously been, what is your advice? Seats, tickets, getting there?

I went to both Sydney and Singapore tournaments last year and loved them... but it's always looked like Hong Kong was a whole other level.
Thanks in advance.

I'd investigate the package option despite your preference. Depending on the reseller, they can be quite flexible on options and it is a very popular event. We've done both and probably lean towards partial packages these days.

You can buy tickets from touts when you are there around x2 the face value (minimum).
I personally would look at the packages Cathay put out which include flights and tickets. It's a great weekend!!

+1 for a CX package deal.

As an official sponsor, CX also wants to promote HK and while it is an expensive time to visit HK, I am sure you will get best value from CX, especially since its all inclusive.

Recommend you stay on the island.
