Honeymoon Locations?

If you're looking to lock yourselves away from society for your honeymoon, head to one of the resorts at Bora Bora. Bit of a pain to get there - flight to Papette, milk run to Bora Bora airport then boat to your particular resort - but a true sanctuary away from the world. Plenty of holiday activities, good food and booze, but no mobile coverage, no internet and only French cable TV. Spent 7 days there on my honeymoon - probably the only time I've ever actually had a 'holiday' in my life.

Thanks for the information guys :) Umm.. i think Bora Bora sounds lovely..
might have that in mind..

Umm the budget is about $10,000-12,000AUD range. I think for about one to two weeks. We both lived in England for the past 8 years so Europe would be out of the question now. Although Switzerland is tempting..

Any other suggestions? :)

Rent an apartment for a week in Paris. It's not expensive and you have all the comforts of home. I rented one a few months ago and didn't want to leave.

You'll be in the good books for years.

Do you have a reputable agent?

Seriously? A casino in the middle of a place known only for its casinos? If my newlywed took me there, I'd get an annulment straight away!

If you budget is minimal, I'll have some suggestions! If it's anything but, others will have better ideas!

K-sheep, one must be a detective at times.

The OP was concerned about star city and china airlines benefits so I thought about combing the two to come to a solution to the OPs third concern. A honeymoon location.

Hi Sprucegoose. I used this site Vacation rentals, private rooms, sublets by the night - Accommodations on Airbnb

The apartment is in the absolute centre of Paris between Chatelet and l'Hotel de Ville in a lively pedestrian street with bars and restaurants everywhere. The apartment was on three levels and had an outside deck. Laundry and internet access. And so quiet. The owner was absolutely excellent and I'd be embarrassed to tell the price I paid compared to a low budget hotel. I'll stay there again.

There are a number of rental agencies in Paris which charge outlandish fees and should be avoided. This one doesn't and the owner doesn't get the money until you have moved in without complaint or concern.

If you want the actual apartment PM me and I'll happily reply.

I'd certainly give this a +1. Would be the most secluded/romantic place I have ever been to in all my travels.

Weather it's a bad thing or not, Bora Bora certainly does have mobile reception (I use Telstra) and the coverage is great all over the island.

We rented a private house on Bedarra Island in February. Very secluded and romantic, and quite luxurious. The owner organised food/supplies (we chose from a list) and everything was waiting for us upon arrival. We had to organise flights to/from CNS, and then to/from Dunk Island. Wouldn't suit someone who likes resorts and being waited on.
