If there is one thing I like it is a good leverage on 'days leave'. I notice that next year Easter finishes in the same week as Anzac Day.

If it isn't already too late at your workplace, can I suggest putting in a leave application for Tu, W & Th of the week 22-24th April 14. This will make days off stretch for 10 straight days.

I'm a minnow in the business world, my business revenue will be shot that month, might as well take the time off as I won't be able to fight the tide.

Alby.

Thanks. Just emailed off my request to the boss.

And for 7 days leave you could get 16 days off... Might be enough for a quick little jaunt over to Europe... I was pondering doing Anzac Day next year in Gallipoli so this might just assist that plan...

Me too.

.

Way ahead of you. I pounced on 2 Suite Savers to Zurich as soon as they came up so that I can have 3 weeks next Easter in Europe. Looking to take in Vienna and Budapest and then fly back from Munich. Have just redeemed the Munich flights in J when they came up.

Just rejigger my return in SQ Suites to accommodate the Easter weekend

Instead of LHR, it will now be MXP.

Open-jaw penalty : 39,700 points !

Worth it

I tend to stake out my leave well in advance according to public holidays. Excuses me from the bun fight when the reality sets in for the snails. Management usually gets a request in the first week of January. I get a miffed reply along with "wow you plan ahead"
Public holidays - australia.gov.au

Yes same here.

I often use the PH, to magnify my 4 weeks leave up to 5 per year.

However I have just set a new benchmark for advance notice as I just let my CEO know that I will be taking July 2015 off to go on a month long safari in Africa.

No PH's...but as we will use a month of my wife's Long Service Leave no Public Holidays is a good thing...as with LSL (or at least my wife's employer) , PH make no difference in making the days required less as LSL ignores them (this you do not take LSL when PH are available as you gain no benefit from them).....plus as the LSL is taken in months July is a good month to take off as it has 31 days!
