Booked a flight with VA SYD-AUH today, flying out in mid December. Had a look at the 777 seat map and it has more holes than a swiss cheese. Y is the same as this. They were all present and accounted for last time I flew. Anyone have any ideas on why so many seats would be missing:?::?:?

dear oh dear, does look like a swiss cheese. I would call them just to confirm their intentions.

Do they codeshare this route. Sometimes they sell blocks of seats off to the codeshare partner. QF63/64 comes up like that

That may be it. EY and VA code share on the AUH flights (e.g. VA29 - this flight - is EY6451). Possibly they moved to having blocks of EY seats, last time I was on this flight I'm sure I had the whole seat map displayed.
