Apparently both last nights and tonight's QF128 have been delayed due to technical issues. That's two full A380s!

Stuck in HKG trying to get re-routes...anyone have additional info?

QF10 A380 from Dubai to Melbourne also delayed from last night until tomorrow.

744 subbed on Qf11 today.

QF128 on Sun was delayed for 24 hours. QF128 on Mon was delayed by 13.5 hours and departed this morning. QF10 from DXB on Sun was delayed by more than a day and a half. Do you think the A380s can secretly talk to each other and decide hold a strike?

Even the A380s want Joyce gone. :)

When I tried to look into this last night, the QF sites flight status tool wasn't working.

It is going to get worse where there are less 747s to save them........and they want to utlise the A380's more and work them harder. That will work well when things break, like this situation

I'm on tonight's QF128 744 service, so hopefully these issues have been resolved. I see yesterday's flight didn't depart until 09:43 this morning and Sunday's pax not until last night! Poor buggers!

Yes I'm a Boeing supporter, but I just don't think the 380's are going to have the longevity. Had a 380 flight cancelled because of a fuel leak then the rescue 380 12 hours later had an electrical problem which grounded it (after we were all on board). Guess what came to the rescue, an old fella 747.

Matt

guess they can always re route everyone through their partners (like MU, OZ, CA) ....

CX must be laughing, maybe they were the ones who did the sabotage.

Even though, not many airlines in the world can take 2 or 3 of their largest aircrafts going tech at pretty much the same time in out ports without any effect on their schedules.

So much for the theory put by some that Qantas has spare A380 capacity and new routes are possible ;), given this is a one aircraft route.

After being in the middle of the QF10 debacle there is NO spare A380 Capacity!

I was on QF30 out of HKG to MEL on Sunday night - an A330 desperate for a J class refurb - but at least it flew! And was all on time.....
