Given that the CX Arrivals lounge in HKG is not the easiest to find, I decided to snap a few pictures as a general guide if people ever need to find it in future (believe it or not I myself forgot where it was and got a little lost finding it today!)

Step 1: You need to locate the main / central passage way that leads you to your taxi rank, airport express and Terminal #2. Its roughly in the middle of the terminal and on the right of Burger King at the arrivals level

Step 2: At the end of the passage way just at the airport express station, you will see a flight of escalators to go down - take this down. You will then be in an underground tunnel that leads to Terminal #2. Just keep on walking - the CX Arrivals lounge is on the right pretty much two-thirds down the corridor

Must arrive on a CX flight too

Yes. That too. And also KA flights.
Access allowed for arrival on the same day, or transit pax with 4+ hours of transit time - although if I was in that kind of transit, I would be on the express train to the city instead of going to the lounge.

Note that it only opens at 6am, despite some CX flights landing as early as 5am.... I have waited 30min before for it to open.

The website states that it opens at 5am, and was there at 5am sharp about 4 months ago. Is this a recent change?

Be careful with access rules if trying to take guests in as they are pretty strict, there is also a Plaza Premium lounge opposite that Priority Pass can be used for

May have changed to 5am then. This was approx 8 months ago, and there were about 10 of us who entered as the gates went up. The PPass lounge seems to be 24hrs.

It was very quiet when I got there. Quite a haven. No riff raff.

I agree, I was there in March and it was a little haven. They were quite happy to look after my carry on bag whilst I enjoyed HKG city for a few hours. I love the city and I had a little thing I wanted to do when I was there. Go to Times Sq HKG and then 24 hours later visit Times Sq NYC.
