Hey all, I will have a 6hr transit in HKG soon and would like to do a quick trip into town to meet a friend. Are there any airside left luggage facilities at HKG? Perhaps any of the OW lounges?

I do not know of any such - I have only used Landside (down to the Southern end of the Arrivals hall).

You should be fine (assuming they are still operating) - I used them during an 11 hour layover to go to Tung Chung for lunch.

Agree with serfty.

Even if there were any airside options in lounges, you would have issues trying to use them, as you would have to go through transit security after arrival to access the airside. You then have the hassle of getting back and going through immigration to get landside. If you do it he normal way, and go through immigration rather than transit, then you are landside. You would have to go through emigration and to store luggage airside, then persuade them to let you back again to go into town.

Unlikely that they would be impressed when there is a perfectly good landside storage (still operating according to the airport website). Have also used it before. Be aware the charges are per piece - so anything that combines a couple of smaller pieces into a larger one will save you money.
