Hilton TVs disabling external inputs

This is now becoming standard practice across the chain and is most frustrating as I like to hook the laptop up via HDMI to watch movies. I suppose this is done to sell pay per view hotel movies. Disconnecting the network cable and other inputs doesn't bypass the locks. Does anybody have any experience at HSW with LG sets in getting around this nuisance?

I use the composite cable (red white yellow) rather than hdmi
