For Mrs ChrisCunard it's been 4+ months for a gold programme match. For me it's been two months for platinum. How long is too long? I've asked Virgin to look at it and they've said they're "looking into it" but it's been weeks with no update?

It only took a week for me to get online access with my status showing as gold. I haven't received my card and sign on package yet, so not sure how long that will take. I'm assuming this is the standard Hilton HHonors status match you get with Velocity Gold or Platinum status.

Took me about two weeks for the online recognition. The actual card came after a few months (~3 from memory). Europcar took about 2 months even for the online recognition.

Two weeks for me, and only found out when I made a booking on their site and their confirmation email said I was diamond. When I logged in I was still Blue though.

Card took about 4 weeks to arrive.

Just curious were you existing HHonors Blue members or new members at the time of doing the status match?

I will be doing one soon after I hit platinum on VA and want to avoid the issues I had with IHG Priority Club.

I was a new member.

I was gold and it took me 2 weeks to get diamond. I chased them after 10 days and they told me they had no record. So i just thought i'd wait the 4 weeks. I was trying to get it done in time for a stay and luckily got processed the day I checked in two weeks after the application.

I received the email from HHonors to say i'd been made gold, but then it still showed blue on my account and they could find no record of it. After a few weeks of this, I rang HHonors and had to send them email they'd sent me, they chased it up while I stayed on the line, and eventually the guy had it added onto my account. It took some time because I didn't have any stays/points with HHonors beforehand - the original help desk person kept insisting that I had no status as i had no stays.

I became Gold beginning of March. Got Hilton Honours online access as Gold about the end of March. And then they sent me a bloody Blue card in the mail around mid April! I just logged online (which has my correct status) and requested a new Gold card be sent. Still waiting for it. Europcar took 1 month and a half to email me. Ordered my privelage card online so just waiting for it now. Then I found out anyone could get a privelage card for free!

I had lots of problems with this...

I got the email, but Hilton only signed me up and set my status to Blue.. I was not a member before hand.

I called VFF and HH many times but got the run around as HH did not know anything about it. VFF just said they know of issues, but did not offer to do anything to fix it..

In the end, I got put through to customer complaints at HH and emailed them through the welcome email. After 2 more goes, they matched me and it is now live and active..

Privilege is the program name, within it there are levels, with the top one being elite:

Loyalty Programs

Cheers for that. Except, I just checked in the mail, and I have today received the bog standard Privilege Club Card. I have called the lass on the original email that I received and left a voice mail. I emailed her as well. I will advise what she comes back with.

I signed up for the base level and on the same day applied for the upgrade through Velocity. The upgrade came through exactly 7 days later.

Trying out the Hilton Surfers Paradise next weekend.

Don't hold your breath waiting.

Just to add my experience to the mix. I made VA Gold on the 26 April, clicked on the Hilton status Match on the 29th and got an email from Hilton yesterday saying it had been processed. This was reflected on the Hilton website when I made a booking this morning. Pretty good IMO.

Those who've hit Gold or Diamond with the Velocity benefit since 1 April, what expiry date does your card show?

Bump.

Does anyone have an answer to the above question?

I am currently HH Gold through to March 2014, but now qualify for Diamond benefit through Velocity.

I am researching for European stays later this year and therefore thinking of pulling the trigger on the offer in the next couple of months depending on the expiry date.

No direct experience of this but any new Hilton status gained in this calendar year should have an expiry date of March 2015.
