Hilton Log-in - Captcha Problems

I note of recent months HH has added a Captcha code to enter to log in.

Does anyone know if we can set the style offered? On an old XP computer I have, it gives just a 3 number photo (looks like a hotel room number on a door) but on Win 8.1 I'm getting two, often illegible, words which regularly need to be rolled over or audibly read because I can't read it. It's worse still on my iPhone as the page cannot be zoomed in like normal and it's impossible to read and the refresh Captcha button is too small to press.

Any thoughts? Is anyone else having these problems?
 
The change is only a few days old? Shocking.

I have just tried and some of the Captcha's are impossible. Keep clicking "Get a new challenge" and after 6-7 clicks an easy Captcha appears.
 
Just yesterday I was having an issue with another website Captcha that was impossible to work out.
 
This has been on my account for a few weeks... Some are ridiculously easy, whereas others not so much...

Not sure why this extra layer of security is needed but maybe they know something we don't regarding unauthorised attempted logins etc?
 
Annoying, and my Firefox only has the pictures with house numbers so maybe try that.

Reason for it was a mass hacking of HH accounts and theft of points. What do you expect when you can use Pin with no lockout periods on incorrect entry.

HH IT is so poor...

My biggest issue is with my iPhone and Safari. Can Firefox be loaded on an iPhone?
 
Nope. It makes the site on iPhone pretty much unusable unless you get lucky with a captcha. App maybe?

I'm now having problems with the HH app. I've just tried logging in with both my user name and password as well as my account number and pin and both come back as a sign in error where it says my sign on details do not match any account. There is no Captcha as part of that sign on, so is any one else having an issue using the HH App?

My account details are correct and they work with my laptop (8.1 which show the 2 word captcha) and my desktop (XP which has the 3 number captcha) but don't seem to with the HH app.

I've also noticed StayAngel has been having log on issues with my account as well and has not updated any recent bookings I've made so are others having StayAngel issues as well?

Edit: have you been hacked too? Check your points level and consider changing your password via the computer.

Thanks for the tip, but no I haven't been hacked....points safe!

I did work out what the problem was with the HH app. I needed to update it. I still had the previous one with the bluish coloured H logo but the latest has a brown/tan logo. As soon as I updated it, it worked fine. (I like the functionality of the new one better, too!)

The new HH app works great, much faster to book then on the website and easy to see room upgrades.
Regarding Captcha, I select the hearing option which reads a few numbers in a clear voice.

No hearing option on the mobile sign in Captcha. I think Hilton must have made some alterations just recently, as I can now at least get the Captcha to refresh as the button seems just a bit bigger now.

The app seems to be the go though! (Out of curiosity, why doesn't the app have Captcha?)
