I have floated around for a few months as a 'guest' figured it time to at least doing the
right thing & join. I have found your forum extremely interesting to read.

Only a novice at travelling o/seas, a handful of trips in the last 20 years.

Recently had the good fortune to win a trip to Monaco. My daughter& I flew
via Bangkok/London/Nice Qantas. With return BA.

As a consumer & not a seasoned traveller we were non too impressed with either
also travelling economy was no great pleasure. We did attempt to pay to upgrade
both ways but costs were huge. In the space of four days they went from
AU$8500 to way over $10000 (day of travel).

As hubby & I will be doing a similar trip only we fly return from Rome mid 2012 I am
madly trying to win mega bucks to upgrade for that trip. We fly Korean Air next year,
have no choice as it is the package that determines the airlines.

I guess I have joined to suss out the pros & cons of all this international travel.

I can tell you the 27 hours return trips were far fun a bundle of laughs.
