HH Hotel in LA

Could someone please recommend a convenient Hilton Honors Hotel in Los Angeles?

So far considering Hilton Universal City in LA. Good for visiting Universal Studios, not sure if there any shopping malls/restaurants near by?

Has anyone stayed here?

The only one I've regularly stayed at is the one at LAX, which is pretty good, although was undergoing renovation the last time I was there.

The only other criticism would be that it sometimes has large religious conferences and can be very busy. It seems to be a theme, the one at Newark is similar.

The Embassy Suites near LAX (North side) is pretty good. Other than that I can't help, sorry.

I have used that one several times and found it very good if LAX airport is your destination. But probably more convenient places for shopping and touristing.

I stayed there in December last year & got an alcove room which was very nice & quite large

There is a shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes from the hotel taking people to Universal Studios. There is no shopping malls nearby but outside Universal Studios is the Universal CityWalk and there are a few nice restaurants there.

There is a free (plus tip) shuttle bus that runs from the next corner to Manhatten Beach and a few other places including a large Mall. Reception at the hotel have the details.

Depending on what you want to do and where you want to go, if you decide to stay on the west side and don't want to stay at the airport, there is always the DoubleTree Santa Monica - usually expensive but good location.
