Hertz Rental Redemptions

Has anyone been able to use their Hertz points for a redemption in Australia? Is there some trick every time I get the following message.

It looks like you don't have enough points to Redeem a Hertz Gold Plus Reward or the location is currently not accepting points.

I have been able to book a car using points. The discounted weekend points rate is not always available.

Agreed, used to work online but recently I get this message all the time.

Working fine for me - no problems booking a points redemption online.

I've got >7K points ... got the $hits with their webpage saying no ......called and they appear to be good for AUS & NZ, but worthless everywhere else.

I have found changing my location to NZ (or any other country) suddenly makes these available.
