Hertz In Edinburgh

my wife and i are returning to scotland in may. when laston edinburgh we hired a car from hertz (#1 Club Gold member). when we returnedthe car we realized we had left our movie camera on the floor of the back seat.when i returned 20 minutes later the car had been re-hired and the responsefrom the employees was they had cleaned the car and there was no camera left init. we are positive that it was!

we are not sure about booking cars on line and intend to book the car withhertz in Aust.

reading the trip advisor there are terrible stories about people turning up atthe downtown office only to be told there are no cars available even thoughthey had bookings. albeit not through hertz.

it is our intention to pick the car up from the airport this time. giving us achoice should we receive bad news upon our arrival.

has anybody received this poor service when booking a car with hertz in Edinburgh

I've hired once from Downtown (2 years ago), and was treated well.

Leaving things in rental cars does often mean never seeing them again. Not really sure what type of people they employ to do the turnaround jobs...
