Hertz booking via rentalcars.com not visible

I'm going to europe in a few months and I booked a car via rentalcars.com (they had a great rate)

Now I've got the confirmation number and if I go to hertz, enter the number and my surname I can view and edit it.
However if I'm signed in to Hertz and provide the same confirmation number it gives me an error.

How can I connect this booking to my account?
