Timely that another poster has highlighted recently experienced changes to their Company's Travel Policy.

I am currently knee deep in writing my Company's Travel Policy and would appreciate input from other AFF members if I have missed anything:

TEBCO Flight Policy
ALL International flights to be booked into Y – unless F and J available
ALL routings should be shortest direct available – unless long / extensive / convoluted routing available requiring overnight stays in distant / exotic locations available
ALL hotel accommodation must be minimum 5 stars
ALL international trips be kept to MIN length of time – unless extra nights can be squeezed in without Cruiserette squeezing your ……
ALL nights spent in o/s hotels require early Skype with Cruiserette PRIOR to party time
Souvenir shopping for family and friends STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Souvenir shopping for travelling party COMPULSORY
Cash payment for meals / drinks etc. PROHIBITEDALL payments must be carded on Select
ALL employees sanctioned for International Travel should expect frequent assignments with shortest turnaround time in Australia as possible
FAILURE to strictly comly with above policy WILL result in
instant dismissal

I look forward to your thoughts.

You must bring back the tackiest souvenir from your destination for the "Souvenir Hall of Fame". The yearly winner will get a night at Formula 1 as prize

Don't suppose your employees need an accompanying personal physician ? I might know someone who's available for that  :p

I think someone with a background in emergency management planning could be an asset to your company.

For starters I would move to amend the travel policy to include the following:

a) All flights must be booked into the fare bucket that provides the maximum number of frequent flyer points and status credits.
b) Discretion must be permitted to allow maximum earn across as many frequent flyer programs as possible.

Sounds like the travel policy for the HSU!

When you finalise the policy, let me know, you can email it to my boss! :D

I'm pretty lucky having no policy as such, just common sense, but there are a few things I'd love in writing especially the following:

"ALL routings should be shortest direct available – unless long / extensive / convoluted routing available requiring overnight stays in distant / exotic locations available"

&
"

What's the policy on lounge access, in the event F & J aren't available?

Do you have a Lounge policy that ties in to this ?

Terribly disappointed that the essentiality of chauffeur transfers are not included in this policy. I wouldn't sign it off. :)
