Help, stranded in HKG by CX

Hi all I need some help.

I'm stuck in HKG airport. My flight from PVG on KA was super delayed and misses CX135 to MEL. Sat on PVG Tarmac for 3 hours.

I'm in W class, the clowns at the tsfr desk want me to fly home on Sunday via ADL in Y. Claiming all flights full.

Can someone with EF access throw me some suggestions.

Also they will only give me a 4 star hotel in the city, no meals or compo. Does anyone have any reference points to bargain.

Does OWEwithQF mean anything in this situation?

I can't even get up airside to talk to the F Lounge people.

You post this in Playground? How were you ticketed? All on one ticket or separate?

I can't even get up airside to talk to the F Lounge people.

From personal experience the F lounge are not as good people think they are. Refused to help until one of us showed them ExperFlyer and wide open availability in Business Class on first flight of the day not the last flight which they lumped us on.

This is how CX treats Oneworld Emeralds? Sorry I cannot help you more but hope all works out for you.

CX ticketed. I'm stuck down in arrivals just before immigration, there is a little tsfr desk there.

They also can't tell me about my luggage, nor will they release it to me!

I've done a stack of Long haul with CX over the last few years and they haven't missed a beat.
I'm flying W as their J price was insane.

I'm on standby for CX105 tonight, but apparently I'm 26th in line. OWE means squat apparently.
Was told the cns/Bne and syd flights were full so wasn't given those options.

Anyone have any luck in other situations being transferred to another carrier?

One ticket CHC/akl/HKG/PVG/HKG/Mel on CX

Goodness!!! But it's up to CX, perhaps unfortunately. I hope they do the right thing! Have you suggested a transfer to other carrier? Maybe migrate and then seek a 'proper' CX office/counter? (eg the 1st class one).

Yes told that I'd have to talk to KA but funnily enough there is nobody here from KA.
Given its thier ticket I think they are fobbing me off. No supervisor on duty so couldn't escalate. Another fob off?

Oh I see. It's the delaying carrier that is ultimately responsible for the missed connection rather than the ticketing carrier? So probably KA needs to approve a change in the ticketing? A call to KA?

In your case.. I would be pressing for better options.
CX can play tough at times.

CX105 via ADL at 2335 shows J3, C3, D3, I2, W1, R1 and nothing below if that helps.

CX101 via SYD at 2355 shows J6, C5, D5, I5 and nothing else.

That's all there is for CX.

Tomorrow shows no W at all so maybe they are (almost) telling the truth.

They are playing the no availability at all card at the minute even after showing the fare buckets.
Told me to come back in 15 and still no sign of my luggage.

I'm feeling a little Edward snowden right now.

So still sitting here still, no flight, no hotel, nothing.
Been sitting here since 7.30 with multiple flight options departing with seats available.

I've now found 7 other pax in the same boat, rather interestingly all Y+ one QF WP.

ReLoad, I am hoping and praying for a good outcome for you.

I may be in a similar situation soon. Flight to Boston via Atlanta couldn't land in ATL due to thunder and lightning. I'm now sitting on the plane in Chattanooga airport. We are now heading back to ATL.

Not likely given the post was after midnight. FWIW both BNE flights have good availability today in PE.
