Several years ago the protocol on AFF was to not even acknowledge the existence of FT, much less mention it in a post.
 
OK - not sure why this protocol is in place - never heard of it but I'm sure I've seen other references to FT on AFF. Perhaps one of the moderators could add it to general posting guidelines.

To the best of my knowledge this has never been a rule. We did have an issue with a Facebook group that wouldn’t allow AFF links posted, so we reciprocated in kind.

In the COVID-19 section we do have a thread for members to help others already with care packages.
 
thanks @support - I did not post in the thread you mentioned as it seems 'very quite' - wasn't sure it would reach a wide enough audience and I did want to follow the rules re cross-posting.
