Hi there,

I'm wondering how I can find out availability on J saver fares with Thai airways, but booking through Krisflyer? Husband and I are travelling to London (1way) in early Sept (probably sometime between 5 - 10 Sept).

I tried talking to Krisflyer, but they were no help: We don't have any points in my Father-in-law's account yet (he's buying the tickets and they're still in Altitude) and I don't want him to transfer them until we know for sure that we can get seats. Krisflyer won't tell me availability unless we make a tentative booking... which we can't do because we have no points with them yet! Vicious circle, or what?!

Is there anyone who knows a way around this?

I believe the ANA award availability tool may have the answer you need.

There is a thread on Flyertalk that explains how to sign up and use the tool.

Probably should have kept this in your other thread rather than start a second thread.

Looks like our advice last night was correct on points to London.

Thai normally has very good availability, way way way better than QF and also better than SQ.

As John said have a look at the ANA Tool first..

I have always found the SQ call centre very helpul. Once you have the points in the account I suspect you will get a lot more assistance.

But look at ANA first. However the call centre has often given me extra availability.

You may have to avoid the Sept school holiday period though.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
