Help a Hilton Noob

So my first stay at a Hilton is as a Gold (thanks DJ!) at HoTP, Melbourne. Got upgraded to Exec floor.

As it's just me on my own tonight, I felt completely lost going into the Exec Lounge. Pretended I was looking for someone and walked out! lol

So my question; what's the go in there? I couldn't see a bar or anything when I walked in. Do you sit down and they come and take your order? Or did I not look far enough 'round the corner?

Walk around the corner to the right.
Treat it like an airport lounge, help yourself and sit down.

There's a cabinet at the end of the food area where you can get soft drinks all the time and wine at the drinking hours. If you're seated there, anywhere you want, the host will ask you if you want other types of drinks.

Go in and enjoy you never know who you'll see.

Why not go back in tonight before 8.30pm, and give it another go? Drinks & canapes from 6.00pm to 8.30pm from memory. After that it's soft drinks, coffee, tea self serve. There's one computer to check emails, etc.

Don't feel embarrased...a lot of people are in a similar situation on their own.

Just walk in (whatever time of day you're there)...grab a drink, see if there is any snacks...pick a chair and relax. Usually newspapers and magazines to read as well as computer use (if you don't have your own)

Remember that the bar is only open for approx 6:00 - 8:30 pm time period.
