Hi

My better half is off to Canada soon and is transiting LAX with connecting flights to AC to Toronto and Ottawa. He is a QF Gold but does not have any status with Star Alliance carriers, also he is flying QF Business to LAX. Is there any access to lounges he can have that require a fee or does anyone know whether there is a generic lounge that has showers etc?

Many thanks.

Probably best to have asked this question in the Airport Lounges, Open Discussion or Your Questions forums.

I am not sure which terminals the Air Canada flights depart but you should be able to find a pay-for-use lounge in these websites.

Folks have reported being able to access the LAX NZ lounge for $55 on a "day pass" basis.. at least when flying in Y on NZ...

Can't find any reports of pax flying out on other *A airlines doing the same...

With the AC lounge right next door (but not worth using IMO- no showers!) NZ may not offer paid access to AC pax...but I just don't know....

It has to be worth a try! Opening hours will need to be checked I suppose...
