Hello community, I believe I've found my people!

Avid points collector, credit card churner, status chaser, lounge crawler & frequent flyer.

I've followed AFF blog for years but for some reason never become a member until now.

A bit about me,
  • Once flew LPL to CDG via FRA (rather than the direct EasyJet flight) to make use of my star alliance gold status (from HSBC Alliance Card) to spend 3 hours in the Senator lounge... worth it
  • Enjoy lounge crawls & walks on the beach - Most recent was in MEL T2 in order - Plaza premium, Marharba, The House, Air NZ, SIA Business & finally SIA First. surprised they let me on the plane
  • Recently discovered byAir app (on android) and proceeded to spend and entire weekend logging every flight I've ever taken in my life. It took some doing when trying to find that flight from MAN to ATL on a Delta Tristar in 2002! If anyone wants my stats I'd happily bore you with the insights.....my wife doesn't seem to care how many times I've flown this particular VA 737-800
  • Home airport is Hobart and I'm Qantas gold so happy to guest anyone in to the Qantas Club over the next 6 months or so.......um...say what now? refreshment vouchers anyone??
  • Flown back to the UK (where I'm from originally) in J with the family using points 3 times over the last 6 years so my 9 year old has no memory of long haul economy to my detriment. This came home to roost when we had to fly JQ the other week and she said "I don't like Jetstar dad, I only like luxury"
So happy to be here :)

Wish I know how to navigate here easily…

Greetings HBAhome and welcome. I'm a newbie too, but with far less flying under my belt. I'm trying to build up my posts so that eventually I can request offered lounge passes! 🤪 Don't travel that much, but immigrated to AUS 2 years ago from California and this necessitates the periodic trip back for medical things not covered by my private health insurance in Australia. ('Im on a bridging visa for at least 10 more years, big backlog of applicants, then Medicare 🤞.)
Welcome. I may hit you up for one of those passes too. Traveling this Sunday SYD to SFO. If it works!
Best!

Greetings TeeBee! And welcome. I am learning as well. Finally figuring out that "posting" is not necessarily creating a new post, it could be replying to others. And 10 posts required in order to request. Only too about 6 months! 🤦‍♀️ I'm sure you'll get etc faster than me!!

Well... as long as it's prior to June 8th and after sometime post early 2027 😜
These last few months I haven't even bothered going in as the temp space is sooo cramped. Looking forward to the new one!
