Am flying BA from Paris to Heathrow and then on to JFK with AA (using points). Arrive Heathrow at 8.15am and AA flight is not until 2.50pm. There is an earlier AA flight I could try to catch (at 9.45am) rather than wait at Heathrow for nearly 5 hours. I have 2 questions: Would there be enough time to get from BA to AA terminal at Healthrow to try and catch the earlier flight (as I will be in transit don't have to get through customs)? Has anyone had experience trying to change a flight with AA when using points? Any advice much appreciated. Oh, and am flying Y so assume chances of changing flight might be small...

90 minutes to change terminals and get through the usual security zoo might be a bit stressful (especially if they are still doing secondary hand-checks on every 5th bag (haven't been to LHR since about this time last year)).

My attitude with LHR is to always leave more time than you think is necessary - but it is also influenced by status and what lounge you are able to get into, if any. As purely a SFSC leisure traveller time doesn't matter much to me and I can always get F lounge access, so I'm happy to be cruisy ;). YMMV.

Tks John - I chose the really early flight from paris unless weather delayed the flight as I really don't want to miss AA to JFK. Luckily I have QC membership so will use it in the AA lounge.
