A few photos of the temporary experience at HBA.

It’s adjacent to the newly opened gate 8 which is used for JQ and VA.

They’ve salvaged the coffee machine from the old lounge and have pre-packaged sandwiches and cakes, mini slices, fruit and cans of soft drink/water. No alcohol.

No dedicated seating but the terminal seats in this section are fine.

No, the drinks selection doesn’t change.

I’ve heard there’s a special arrangement for P1/CL during the afternoons but am yet to confirm this. Apparently there’s a voucher for a whisky bar but it’s not at the airport. Not sure how practical this will be.

Not at the airport? How does that work?! 😂

I remember reading about that in the P1 email a while back. You ring the Sullivans Cove distillery on the morning of your flight for an “exclusive,” pre-flight experience including a well appointed bar, whisky archive and curated snacks. QF’s words not mine. Then presumably catch another taxi with your luggage to the airport unless you do a back and forth.

I must have missed that email. Part of any lounge experience is to relax after checking in, checking luggage if you have it and passing security.
